About Me.
I’ve had a guitar in my hands for most of my life. What started as a teenage obsession turned into years of playing lead guitar in bands, chasing tone, writing riffs, and finding my voice through the instrument. After more than 30 years of playing—and over 10 years of teaching—I’ve come to believe that the best kind of guitar lesson isn’t about a checklist. It’s about you—where you want to go, what lights you up, and how we can build the skills to get there.
That’s the heart of Fretboard Foundations. Every student is different, so every lesson is shaped around your goals. Want to learn rhythm and chord progressions? Great. Want to solo, explore scales, or understand the theory behind what you’re playing? We’ll go there. I’ll make sure you build a solid foundation, but we’ll do it in a way that fits your style and keeps you excited to pick up your guitar.
I care deeply about the people I work with. I’m not interested in churning out students on a conveyor belt—I want to help you become the kind of musician you want to be. Whether you’re picking up the guitar for the first time or returning to it after years away, we’ll take it step by step, with intention, clarity, and a whole lot of good music.
